Family Promise of Knoxville is one of over 150 affiliates of the national Family Promise organization, which has received Charity Navigator’s highest ranking.

Family Promise of Knoxville unites the interfaith community and local resources to help homeless children and their families get back on their feet.

Usually, the families in the program are facing homelessness for the first time in their lives, due to job loss, medical conditions, financial problems, or other tough circumstances.

The cornerstone of Family Promise of Knoxville is our interfaith network of 15 “host” congregations and 27 “support” congregations. This congregational network is unique because it serves homeless families within the walls of places of worship, it focuses on providing a safe place for children and their families to sleep, and it is lay-driven by volunteers.

Family Promise’s Vision: a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future together.
